Hanzade Doğan Boyner is currently the chairwoman of Doğan Online, Doğan Gazetecilik, and the Doğan Foundation, as well as the vice chairwoman of Hürriyet Newspaper, Doğan Burda, and Doğan Holding. Previously she has served as the chairwoman of Petrol Ofisi A.S. Ms. Doğan Boyner continues to oversee Doğan Holding’s interests in the energy sector.

After graduating from the London School of Economics with a BSc in Economics, Ms. Doğan Boyner began her career in Goldman Sachs London’s CMT department as a financial analyst, after which she earned her MBA from Columbia Business School. In 1999, Ms. Doğan Boyner founded Turkey’s leading Internet company, Doğan Online. In 2003, she became CEO of Doğan Gazetecilik, which included Turkey’s highest selling daily newspaper, Posta, in its portfolio. In 2006, at Petrol Ofisi, she played a leading role in forming a strategic partnership between Doğan Holding and Central Europe’s leading oil and gas company, OMV.

She is a founding member and vice chairwoman of the Global Relations Forum and the vice president of the World Association of Newspapers. Ms. Doğan Boyner is also a member of the Brookings Institute’s International Advisory Council, Columbia Business School’s Board of Overseers, the European Council on Foreign Relations, the Foreign Economic Relations Board, the Association of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists, the Young Presidents’ Organization, and the Association of Woman Entrepreneurs.

A philanthropist, Ms. Doğan Boyner is the patron of the “Daddy Send Me to School” campaign, which aims to remove economic and cultural barriers to girls’ education in Turkey. The campaign has successfully raised funds to grant 10,500 scholarships and to build 33 girls’ dormitories across Turkey.
