With generous support from Patrick Dalton ’97, president and COO of Apollo Investment Corporation, the School’s Private Equity Program announced the launch of the Patrick J. Dalton Private Equity Pathway Mentorship Program in June. The program, which has already generated interest from the private equity community, links alumni mentors with students or alumni who are transitioning into or considering next steps in the private equity industry.

Mentors represent all areas of the industry, including general and limited partner investing, consulting, mezzanine and turnarounds, executive recruiting, financing, fundraising, investment banking or marketing in VC, LBOs and distressed investing. Mentors offer advice to mentees, engaging with two mentees twice per year over a three-year period. There is no expectation that mentors will make industry introductions. Alumni mentors should have at least five years of experience in the private equity industry post MBA degree.

The program will be accepting applications on a continuing and rotating basis. To learn more and apply to serve as a mentor or mentee, please visit the Private Equity Program.
