On behalf of Columbia Business School’s Private Equity and Venture Capital Club, we are delighted to welcome you to our 20th annual Private Equity & Venture Capital Conference.

This year’s conference will bring 1,000 professionals, alumni, and students to The Sheraton New York for a day of candid discussion on the state of the industry. Our 2014 Conference theme ‘Driving Entrepreneurial Thinking in the World of Investing’ will engage discussions on (i) investing in entrepreneurs, (ii) creating value like an entrepreneur while running or supporting a business, and (iii) GPs as entrepreneurs.

The goals of this conference are to educate, promote discussion, and provide a forum for interaction between academics, professionals, and students who are active in the private equity and venture capital communities.

We are excited to bring to our attendees a strong agenda for the day, featuring respected industry professionals as well as select academics from our esteemed university. By including representatives from a variety of backgrounds, our goal is to bring in a breadth of perspectives from across the industry.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude for the participation of each of our speakers, the support of our sponsors, the assistance of Columbia Business School’s faculty and administration, and the counseling and guidance of Professor Donna M. Hitscherich ’90, Director of the Private Equity Program.

We hope that you enjoy this year’s program.
