Summer Events
Companies may meet over the summer with rising second year students who are either pursuing internships or enrolled in second-term courses (as part of the January entering MBA program) at off-campus locations for all students who will participate in full-time recruiting during Fall 2013. Beginning in June, the Career Management Center can provide a summer directory to facilitate identifying and contacting students for summer receptions.
- On-campus Corporate Presentations:
Companies may hold an event on-campus exclusively for the ~200 students who entered in January and are taking second term courses over the summer. These may be held at lunch time or early evening. Companies may offer short-term work placements for January entrants between August 19 -30, 2013. Presentations, applications, and interviews for these positions should be coordinated through Natalie Rios at (212) 854-8224. - Off-campus Summer Receptions:
MBA students from Columbia Business School can be invited to your office or a venue of your choice for a panel discussion, cocktail event, dinner, or any other type of program. This affords you a "first look" at students who entered in January and did not participate in summer internship interviews, as well as a second look at students who are working at internships over the summer. Companies who schedule a summer reception will receive a directory of rising second year students indicating career interests and summer work or study plans.
