"In early May, my wife and I attended the State Department's Annual Foreign Affairs Day in Washington. There, I was able to put forth a policy recommendation related to Nuclear Disarmament. In July, I participated in The President's Forum with Young African Leaders. I just returned in late September from a three-week mission in Brasilia with Brazil's Federal Police. That country's elections were going on and, despite very different electoral systems, there appeared to be much in common with what we're going through in the US."
