Cristobal Perdomo writes: “Last March we successfully sold the Latin American operations of Groupalia, a daily deal site we founded in mid-2010, to Brazilian daily deal pioneer Peixe Urbano. With the sale I have left the firm and started a new Internet venture: building Latin America's largest online jobs and real estate classifieds company -- Navent.com.”

Bridget Altenburg
Chicago Cares announces the appointment of Bridget Altenburg to the position of executive director. Chicago Cares is the city's premier nonprofit volunteer service organization. Founded in April 1991, the organization engages individuals and corporations in volunteer service by creating and leading innovative programs that help address Chicago's needs in education, the environment, hunger, health and wellness, and senior services.
