A team of Columbia Business School students travels to Brazil on behalf of the Microlumbia fund to determine whether to provide a loan to Banco Palmas, a microfinance institution based in Fortaleza. Microlumbia is a Columbia Business School student-run microfinance investment fund that provides loans and technical assistance to Micro-Finance Institutions (MFIs). The organization is supported by the International Development Club and Social Enterprise Program at Columbia Business School.
