Gleacher Distinguished Service Professor of Finance at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and former chief economist at the IMF, delivered the opening keynote presentation on "Have Capitalism and Democracy been Captured by the Elite: Business and Politics Before the Crisis" at the "Business and Politics: Which Drives Which?" conference, co-hosted by the Sanford C. Bernstein & Co. Center for Leadership and Ethics at Columbia Business School and Columbia University's Institute for Social and Economic Research and Policy (ISERP).
